THE EFFECT OF GREEN SPACES ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE SANTA ROSA -PIURA
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study analyzed the relationship between recreational areas and psychological comfort in residents of the Santa Rosa sector (Piura, Peru). The random probabilistic sample consisted of 370 people. Surveys, observation sheets of parks and interviews with experts were applied. The results showed a positive and significant correlation (r=0.679; p<0.01) between variables. The thematic analysis revealed precariousness in some parks. The findings confirm that contact with urban green spaces promotes psychological well-being. However, the deterioration of recreational areas requires the attention of authorities to optimize their benefits for the community.
