Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- Articles must be original, unpublished and must neither be undergoing the valuation process nor have been approved for publications by another journal.
- The author / s must sign and present the declaration of originality and rights, in which they certify that they have the informed consent of the research participants (in the case of scientific articles), have respected the ethical principles of research, and are free of any conflict of interest.
- Articles may be in Spanish, English or in any other language that belongs in one of the two categories that are described in the journal’s section policies. Undergraduate or postgraduate works that are intended for graduation are not be acceptable.
- In order to assure full compliance of the double-blind evaluation system, no personal or institutional information that might give evaluators a hint of the author’s identity may be included in articles.
- The title of the article may not contain more than twelve words and may be modified by PODIUM editors; changes must be agreed with by the author.
- Scientific or revision articles must have an abstract of not more than 150 words, written with clarity and precision.
- Authors must furnish six (6) to eight (8) descriptors or key words.
- The article must show the classification of the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL Classification) according to the corresponding subject. Three of the subjects (and no more than three) must be specific. This classification may be consulted in: www.aeaweb.org.
- The English version must include the title, the résumé (abstract), the keywords and the JEL Classification.
- The document must be worded using the third person, so that the writing is impersonal.
- An article’s length must be measured using Word’s word-counter. This measurement must include both the body of the article and the bibliographic references and footnotes (only clarification notes). All this should add up to no more than 8,000 words.
- Table and images must follow the format stipulated on the rules for authors.
- Bibliographic references must adhere to the APA rules as stated in the Seventh Edition of the APA Manual.
Copyright Notice
When an article is approved, the author or authors keep the rights or authorship and cede to PODIUM the right to be the first able to edit it, reproduce it, exhibit it and communicate it by printed or electronica media.
Partial or complete reproduction of articles published in PODIUM is authorized, as long as the author is appropriately cited as the source and the reproduction has no commercial purposes, by signing the Declaration of Originality and Rights.
