Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the impact of outsourcing on cost reduction for small businesses in the food service sector of the Villa Morra neighborhood in Asunción, Paraguay, from 2022 to 2024. Ten interviews were conducted with managers of food establishments, consisting of 11 open-ended, qualitative
questions designed to assess economic factors, decision-making processes, and service quality. The results show that most interviewees agreed that outsourcing significantly reduces fixed costs by eliminating expenses associated with
salaries, maintenance, and insurance. It also allowed businesses to focus on improving their products and customer service, fostering growth, with the human resources and logistics departments being the most benefited. The study
concludes that outsourcing delivery services directly contributed to cost reduction and the adjustment of spending according to demand in the post-pandemic period.
